About electric appliances

Electric appliances may be installed and repaired only by an authorised mechanic. Lamps and blown fuses may be changed by the tenant. The plug sockets in the bathroom and most plug sockets in the kitchen are protectively earthed, and only earthed or protectively insulated appliances may be plugged in to them. An electric appliance that is plugged in to an ordinary plug socket in a dry room must not be used in damp premises or outdoors. For example, the use of indoor Christmas lights on the balcony is highly dangerous. The plug sockets in the bathroom are not to be used while taking a shower or bath.
